A brief historical overview
Our Greek Melkite Catholic parish, found in Toronto since 1969, grew and flourished over the years with the efforts of all the priests who were dedicated to its service. On 1994, a first church was acquired. The founding congregation of believers, many of whom are still here, served with devotion and sincerity. The community continued to grow and witness to Christians with spiritual and liturgical heritage rooted in the Byzantine Melkite Catholic rite.

Dear friends and parishioners of Jesus the King Church,
I want to personally welcome you to Jesus the King Melkite Catholic Church. God is love and He showed us His great love through giving us His son, and because of God’s gift, we can share the love He gives us with others. Christ is a lifetime of growth in love and holiness by serving others.
What does faith in Jesus Christ gives us? It gives us a family. We are not lonely, solitary beings; for the Lord of all creation deigned to make himself our brother, and in doing so has made us all members of His family. Our common home becomes God’s home too once we invite the Divine Child in ourselves. The heart and the spirit of Jesus the King Parish, your family, is your home!
